NEW YORK (KUNA) — First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah reaffirmed Kuwait’s support to Somalia to eradicate terrorism.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, during a meeting Friday with Somali Foreign Minister Abdusalam Omer, said Kuwait was standing behind Somalia in the fight against terrorism in order to enforce security and stability nationwide.
The two top diplomats, meeting on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly, also discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Assistant Deputy foreign minister for Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled’s office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah and Kuwait permanent representative to the UN Mansour Al-Otaibi. (end) bs.mao
