US attack against “Jihad John” in Syria

The US has carried out an airstrike in Syria, against Mohammed Emwazi, the British IS jihadisten known as “Jihad John”. The Pentagon can not say if Emwazi killed.

“We are evaluating the results of tonight’s operation and will share more information when it is appropriate.” said Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook in a statement.

According to several American media were carried out the attack on Thursday with a drone near Raqqa, Islamic State stronghold. A source says the TV channel ABC News that Emwazi “wiped out” when he left the building to step into a car. “It was a” clean “hit without collateral damage, the source said.

He spoke English with a British accent, and was named in the media for Jihad John. In February this year he was identified by several media Emwazi, born in Kuwait but grew up in London.
